This Natio Sun sunscreen contains two ingredients from our blacklist: Homosalate and Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane (commonly known as Avobenzone). Homosalate is a chemical UV filter that can be readily absorbed by the skin and has raised concerns regarding potential endocrine disruption, though more research is ongoing. Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane (Avobenzone) is another chemical UV filter effective against UVA rays but can be unstable when exposed to light, sometimes requiring other ingredients for stabilization. While effective at sun protection, individuals with sensitive skin or concerns about chemical filters may prefer mineral alternatives.
